PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lightweight synthetic resin fuel tank of excellent fire resistance and chipping resistance at a low cost. SOLUTION: The fuel tank comprises a synthetic resin tank body 11 and a fireproof sheet 12 in which a low-temperature expansion graphite-containing paint is applied to a sheet-like material, and the fireproof sheet is integrally adhered to an outer surface of the tank body by the blow molding of the tank. The fireproof sheet 12 is formed of a non-woven fabric with the paint applied thereto, and comprises a coating film layer by the paint, an impregnated layer of the paint, and a non-impregnated layer of the paint, and the non-impregnated layer side is preferably and integrally adhered to an outer surface of the tank body.
