摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cogging method by which the grain refining of crystal grain and the uniformalization of the grain size on a cross section in the axial direction are attained in the cogging of a nickel base alloy. SOLUTION: In a cogging method of the nickel base alloy in which action for compressing a prescribed amount by striking with a pair of tools 2, 3 in the vertical direction and action for feeding a base stock for working which is compressed by striking by a prescribed amount in the axial direction are alternately repeated after holding one end of the base stock 1 for working consisting of the nickel base alloy, by taking the initial thickness of the base stock 1 for working as≤450 mm, maintaining the temperature of the base stock for working in a process in the range of 800-1,120°C, taking the amountΔH of compression by one striking to the rang of 2-20% of the initial height of the base stock for working, confining strokes per minute (SPM) in the process as 10-90/min and taking the feed rate of the base stock for working to the range of 50-300 mm. A reversing feeding stage having two or more passes, a one-way feeding/striking/shifting stages where the shifting amount of one fifth - four fifth of the feed rate is imparted at the first striking point in the passes on and after the 2nd pass, or the reversing feeding/striking/shifting stages are used.
