PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ionized water generating device capable of surely conducting cleaning inside an electrolytic cell when a strongly acidic water mode and an acidic water mode are switched to other operation modes and capable of preventing accidental ingestion of acidic water or water in which the acidic water is mixed. SOLUTION: When the strongly acidic water mode is switched to the acidic water mode and an alkaline ionized water mode, it can be switched to the alkaline ionized water mode (1) to (4) on condition that the strongly acidic water mode is once switched to a purified water mode. As a result, the cleaning inside an electrolytic cell 15 can surely be conducted. Furthermore, a standby state in the acidic water mode is prohibited. When the acidic water mode is switched to the alkaline ionized water mode, it is switched to a weakly alkaline ionized water mode after surely conducting the purified water mode.
