摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser beam machining method and device that enable highly accurate machining on an inclined hole having a large tilt angle. <P>SOLUTION: Though it is difficult to machine a small inclined hole such as a cooling hole of a turbine blade, this invention suppresses thermal deformation and enables a highly accurate inclined hole to be machined. Before the machining of an inclined hole, a laser beam L is attenuated, the beam diameter is expanded. A preliminary hole is machined which is perpendicular or slightly tilted to the inclined hole and which has a diameter and a depth to the extent that leaves no trace in a workpiece W to be machined when the inclined hole is finished by laser beam machining. Then, with the machining head 3 tilted, the workpiece W is moved to a machining position and irradiated by the pulsed laser beam L to complete the inclined hole. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p>
