<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording material, which develops no cracks, is excellent in lustrous properties and favorable in ink absorbency. <P>SOLUTION: In the inkjet recording material forming at least one undercoating layer mainly made of a pigment having an average primary particle diameter of more than 100 nm and at least one ink receiving layer mainly made of inorganic finely divided particles having an average primary particle diameter of 100 nm or less in the order named on at least one side of a water- absorbable paper support, at least one undercoating layer includes a water-soluble metal compound. Preferably, the Cobb water absorbing capacity according to JIS-P8140 in contact time of 60 s at 23°C measured from the surface of the undercoating layer, on which the ink receiving layer is provided, is set to be 5 to 50 g/m<SP>2</SP>. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
