<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a catalyst for reforming methanol capable of reducing CO concentration in reformed gas without making water supply at starting, normal operation and stopping, or the like, an essential condition and without causing a trouble due to water freezing, and to provide a device for reforming methanol, a device and a method for generating a fuel battery. <P>SOLUTION: The reforming catalyst transforms methanol, and generates hydrogen, carbon dioxide and methane. The catalyst contains tin, lead, bismuth, antimony, indium, molybdenum and tantalum, or the like. The device for generating the fuel battery has a blower 5, is installed with a fuel battery 3 on the downstream of a reforming part 1 in which the catalyst for reforming methanol is installed. Oxygen and the reformed gas from the blower 5 are supplied to the fuel battery 3, and power generation is carried out by consuming hydrogen. Methane-containing gas discharged from the fuel battery 3 is supplied to a burner 4 and burned, and the fuel buttery 3 also functions as a methane collection means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
