PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a casting apparatus in which molten metal feed hole part is pressurized with the air and the molten metal in the molten metal feed hole part can be prevented from spouting. SOLUTION: The casting apparatus 1 is provided with a metallic mold 10, a sealing member 20 and an air supply source 30. In the metallic mold 10, a cavity 11 and the molten metal feed hole part 12 for pouring the molten metal filled up into the cavity 11 are formed. The molten metal feed hole part 12 is formed as a molten metal feed hole 12a opened on the outer surface of the metallic mold 10 at the one end side and formed as a molten metal passage positioned in the inner part of the metallic mold 10 at the cavity side 11 and having a prescribed length at the other end 12b side. The air supply source 30 is communicated with the molten metal feed hole part 12 through an air supply passage means 14, and the air is supplied into the molten metal feed hole part 12. An air supply passage 14a in the air supply passage means 14 is formed in the metallic mold 10, and formed by extending to the tangential direction of the inner peripheral surface 12A of the molten metal feed hole part formed as a circular shape in the cross sectional surface.
