PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a screw type filtration and dehydration apparatus for easily passing charged sludge raw water through a feed-in port to rapidly feed the same in the center hole of a filtering body, performing filtration and dehydration in such a state that the filling ratio of a screw with sludge is enhanced and volume compression effect is increased and effectively functioning even in such a case that the inflow amount of a solid component is insufficient. SOLUTION: This screw type filtration and dehydration apparatus has such a structure that a screw conveyor 9 is mounted in the center hole 10 of an annular filter body 7 and is constituted of a first zone A wherein a screw pitch is made gentle from the region just under a supply flow-down part 8 of sludge raw water to the upstream region of the center hole 10, a second zone B wherein the screw pitch is made dense in front of the first zone A and a third zone C wherein the screw pitch is made rougher than that of the second zone B at the start end part of this zone in front of the second zone B and made gradually dense in a downstream direction.
