PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging system for diagnosing and a method wherein an X-ray radiation to a scanning object can be reduced at the time of scanning. SOLUTION: One set of heart signals or other motion (heart mechanical motion or respiratory motion)-related signals are collected, and an imaging profile is determined from the signals. Conforming to the imaging profile, a voltage which is applied to an X-ray source is modulated, and an urging voltage is fed at the time of a primary data collecting stage. Also, a reduced voltage is fed at the time of a secondary or non-data collecting stage. The voltage modulation is repeated until sufficient data for an image reconstruction is collected.
