PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a small quantity of cooking material to be heated without scorch by limiting the rise of a flame of a heating burner with a shielding plate mounted on the bottom of a pot. SOLUTION: This heating pot 1 has a pot body 10, a ring-like shielding plate 11 mounted at the bottom 13 of the pot body 10. The shielding plate 11 is projected downward from the bottom 13 of the pot body 10 to regulate the flame for heating the bottom 13 of the pot body 10 from heating the side wall 12 of the pot body 10. In a scorch preventing device for an open fire pot, a heating burner 2 is disposed in an outer pot 3, the upper side of which is opened, the heating pot 1 is installed on the upper opening part of the outer pot 3, and an exhaust port 31 is formed in the upper end part of the outer pot 3. The heating burner 2 is installed so that the flame from the heating burner 2 is applied to the bottom of the heating pot 1 surrounded with the ring-like shielding plate 11 mounted on the heating pot 1.
