PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a receiving container which has an improved hanging strength and improved hanging durability and is used for receiving a volatile material including an insect-repelling or killing volatile chemical. SOLUTION: This container for receiving an insect-repelling or killing volatile chemical or the like comprises a cylindrical main body which is formed from a sheet-like member and has volatilization holes through which the volatile substance can be released from the volatile material received in the main body, and the first holding hole for receiving a holding member, a pair of sheet-like bottom projections which are extended from one opening portion of the cylindrical main body and in which the tip portion of one bottom projection is disposed on the inner side of the container than the root portion of the other bottom projection, and a sheet-like upper projection which has the second holding hole for receiving the holding member for hanging the container and can be bend toward the main body.
