PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing, in various thicknesses using a single die, a cushion material comprising a spring structure resin mold, that is recyclable, with a high flexibility of form and size, of low cost, allowing less sinking, causing less fatigue after long-time use, with excellent impact resistance and withstand load performance, and suitable for seats in automobiles, motor-bicycles, bicycles, trains, aircrafts, etc., saddles for horse riding, chairs, sofas, beds, or other things on which humans sit, lie, or ride. SOLUTION: A male die 14 is pushed down by a pantograph jack 15 to tighten the spring structure resin mold 30. A cavity 12 in a female die 11 is set in size to match cases of deep drawing, and the dies are provided with allowance, so that thickness of the cushion material 1 can be varied using the single die by adjusting the stroke of the male die 14. Both deep drawing and shallow drawing can be applied in manufacturing using the single die. Density, spring characteristics, and rigidity can be varied freely. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
