<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hollow golf club head in which the repulsion is increased and the degree of design freedom is improved in comparison with the composition of only a single metal material by composing different kinds of materials. <P>SOLUTION: In the golf club head in which a head body 1 is formed from a metal, a hole 2a is formed in the vicinity of the middle of a crown portion 2 in the head body 1, the hole 2a is closed with a cover member 6 composed of a material different from the head body 1, and the ratio (ρm/ρf) of the specific gravityρm of the head body 1 and the specific gravityρf of the cover member 6 is set≥1.3.
