PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a closed face reel capable of miniaturizing the reel body and reducing backlash in reverse rotation of a rotor and scarcely causing trouble such as a slack liner or line entanglement. SOLUTION: The closed face reel is equipped with a rotor 30 arranged rotatably around a spool 3. An apparatus for preventing the reverse rotation of the rotor 30 is composed of a rotating one-way clutch 60 which is located between the spool 3 and a driving shaft 15.
