<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an imaging apparatus in which useless power consumption can be eliminated and the lifetime of a halogen lamp being employed in a fixing unit can be prolonged. <P>SOLUTION: A means for detecting/confirming the number of headers/total number of pages detects the tail of image data to be printed A(4), a means for adding a tail code adds a code to the tail of image data A(5), and when a means for detecting the tail code detects the tail code during print processing A(6), a means for turning off a fixing unit interrupts power supply to the fixing unit A(7). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
