PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a hydrogen fermentation apparatus constituted so that inert gas is introduced into a hydrogen fermentation tank to discharge the hydrogen gas formed in the hydrogen fermentation tank to the outside of the tank along with the inert gas and the hydrogen gas is separated from the mixed gas flowing out of the hydrogen fermentation tank to return the gas after the separation of the hydrogen gas to the hydrogen fermentation tank.

SOLUTION: The hydrogen fermentation apparatus is equipped with the hydrogen fermentation tank 2 for decomposing organic matter by hydrogen fermentation to form the hydrogen gas, an inert gas introducing pipe 6 for introducing the inert gas supplied from an inert gas feeder 5 and the gas after the separation of the hydrogen gas returned from a hydrogen gas separator 7 into the hydrogen fermentation tank 2 to perform bubbling in the hydrogen fermentation tank 2 and the hydrogen gas separator 7 for separating the hydrogen gas from the mixed gas of the biogas containing the hydrogen gas flowing out of the hydrogen fermentation tank 2 and the inert gas and returning the gas after the separation of the hydrogen gas to the hydrogen fermentation tank 2.
