PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method for molding an annular body which enable reduction of a molding cost and also facilitation of a change in the shape of the annular body and which are excellent in releasability from a mold and also in moldability of the whole. SOLUTION: The apparatus for molding the annular body, a laminate of two layers at least, is equipped with a pair of molds 1 and 2 being made openable, a core material 3 disposed inside the molds 1 and 2 and holding a lower layer material A1 on the peripheral surface and a parison supplying device 4 whereby a parison A2' forming an upper layer material is supplied between the lower layer material A1 and the molds 1 and 2. At least one of the molds 1 and 2 is provided with a slide member coming close to and separating from the core material 3, and the apparatus is so constituted that the molds 1 and 2, the slide member and the core material 3 form a space part corresponding to the annular body on the occasion of closure.
