PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decrease the thickness, in the longitudinal direction of a vehicle, of an air conditioning case while suppressing the increase of the size of the lower part of the air conditioning case. SOLUTION: After a ratio between an airflow of cold air through a upper cold air passage 15 and that of hot air through an upper hot air passage 20 is regulated by an upper air mix door 18, the regulated airflow is discharged through a face discharge port 24 and by discharging the regulated airflow through a foot discharge port 30 after a ratio between an air flow of cold air through a lower cold air passage 16 and that of hot air through a lower air mix door 19 is regulated, and by providing two air mix doors 18 and 19, the thickness in the longitudinal direction of a vehicle is decreased and further since cold air through the lower cold air passage 16 is guided toward a lower air mix chamber 23 by a foot door 31, guided cold air is collided with hot air and mixing ability can be improved. Thus, a lower air mix chamber 23 can be decreased in size and in turn, the increase in size of the lower part of the air conditioning case 11 can be suppressed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
