PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the work for setting a sheet or a work for unjamming a sheet. SOLUTION: The printer for carrying a sheet and printing on that sheet is provided with a pair of guides 39 and 40 for guiding the surface and rear surface of a sheet wherein one guide 40 is held by a cantilever structure on one side in the widthwise direction of sheet such that the guide 40 can move to approach the other guide 39 or recede therefrom with the cantilever structure side as a fulcrum.
