<p>PURPOSE:To provide an optical axis adjusting device which can prevent an abnormal optical axis adjusting action at the time of disconnection in a simple constitution without giving a sense of incompatibility to occupants. CONSTITUTION:High potential V1+ and low potential V2- in response to outut potential Vs from an optical axis setting section 16 are compared with output potential Vp from an optical axis detecting section 34 by the comparators 38 and 40 of an optical axis adjusting section 20, if its output values V01 and V02 do not agree with each other, an optical axis is adjusted by operating a reversible motor 42. A transistor Q1 is provided between the plus side input terminal of the comparator 38 and the minus side terminal of the comparator 40. When a harness connecting the optical axis setting section 16 to the optical axis adjusting section 20 is disconnected, the transistor Q1 is turned off, to allow the connection of the plus side terminal of the comparator 38 to the minus side terminal of the comparator 40 to be cut off, so that V1+ is fixed onto power supply potential VB, and V2- is also fixed on earth potential V0. By this constitution, since V01 agrees with V02 at all times, the direction of the optical axis is fixed on the direction as it is at the time of disconnection.</p> |
