PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly connect a USB host and a USB device, in a USB communication system formed by connecting the USB host and the USB device which operate with different power sources.SOLUTION: An information processing apparatus that executes data communication by USB communication with a peripheral device that operates with a different power source includes: a USB communication control section which controls the USB communication; an operation state monitoring section which monitors operation state of the USB communication control section; and a communication line switching section which connects or disconnects data communication line in the USB communication, in accordance with a result of monitoring the operation state.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
