PURPOSE: A sealing structure of a trunnion type ball valve is provided to prevent a fluid leakage caused by a fire effectively and apply a uniform pressure on a seat retainer. CONSTITUTION: A sealing structure of a trunnion type ball valve comprises a ball(1) closing or opening the flow of a fluid, a seat ring(2) preventing the fluid from being leaked to the outside through a body(4) at the operation of the ball, a seat retainer(3) pushing the seat ring with an elastic force of a spring(7), a graphite(9) disposed among the seat retainer, a seat insert(6), and a body to prevent the fluid leakage, a space ring(10) disposed between the seat retainer and the seat insert to prevent the fluid leakage, the seat insert(6) pressing the space ring and the graphite with the elastic force of the spring to prevent the fluid leakage, the spring(7) pushing the seat retainer and the seat insert toward the ball to prevent the fluid leakage, a spring holder(8) restraining the movement of the spring and fixing the spring to push the seat retainer and the seat insert toward the ball with regular force, an O-ring(5) disposed between the seat retainer and the body to prevent the fluid leakage, and the body(4) covering the composition units related to the sealing of the ball valve.
