<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a contact type transmitter receiver for realizing a driving circuit with an inexpensive and simple circuit structure. <P>SOLUTION: A memory chip 3 is connected to the driving circuit 5 via a contact electrode surface provided to the memory chip 3 and a contact connector 4 in a printer device 1. In the case that a cartridge 2 is removed from the printer device 1, all the communication lines are physically cut off. On the other hand, the driving circuit 5 in the printer device 1 is controlled by a control circuit 6 and the driving circuit works according to a instruction of the control circuit 6 to supply electric power for the memory chip 3 and perform synchronous communication of data with the memory chip 3.
