<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structured document compilation system capable of abundantly and flexibly importing the compilation intention of a user when parallel compiling the structured document stored on a server by a plurality of clients. <P>SOLUTION: A compilation division part 34 divides the whole compilation performed on the clients 1 into a compilation related to character information and a compilation related to structure information. A character information compilation consistency determination part 39 determines the consistency of the structured document stored on the server 3, and reflects the compilation to the structured document based on the determination results.
