PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radioactive image converting panel having good luminescent brightness and sharpness, and to provide a method for producing the panel. SOLUTION: The radioactive image converting panel is obtained by coating the surface of a rare earth oxide fluorescent substance with a compound other than the oxide. A fluorine compound, a phosphorus compound or a sulfur compound is preferable as the compound other than the oxide.
