PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lightweight hydrogen-storage alloy having high hydrogen desorption pressure in a relatively low temperature region while holding high hydrogen storage capacity. SOLUTION: The hydrogen-storage alloy is an Al-Sc-Co alloy represented by general formula AlxScyCoz (where x, y and z satisfy 0.05≤x≤0.15, 0.25≤y≤0.35 and 0.55≤z≤0.65. respectively) and has an alloy phase having Sc(Co-Al)<SB>2</SB>Laves structure as a main phase.
