PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus displaying the distance to an object capable of displaying an accurate object distance by detecting a thermal state of a shooting lens and correcting the object distance based on the thermal state, when the object distance corresponding to a focus lens position of the shooting lens is found and displayed regardless of the thermal state of the shooting lens. SOLUTION: Temperature sensors TS1, TS2, TS3 for detecting the thermal state of the shooting lens are installed in a lens apparatus 10. A lens information display apparatus (the object distance display apparatus) 20 finds the object distance based on the focus lens position obtained from the lens apparatus 10. The object distance is displayed on an LCD panel 26. The thermal state of the shooting lens is obtained from the lens apparatus 10, and the object distance is corrected based on the thermal state.
