<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent unauthorized use of contents on which rights are set. <P>SOLUTION: An application 33 for regenerating contents, acquires drive ID (DID) from a hard disc (HDD) 31, and transmits the DID to a distribution server 35 through a communication network 34. The distribution server 35 certifies HDD 31 from the received DID, and distributes the contents.
