<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve automation performance and processing time of a radar image processing apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: In the radar image processing apparatus, filter processing is performed by an image filter, in which filter parameters optimum for two-dimensional digital image signals received by a radar are selected. The radar image processing apparatus comprises an S/N detector 4 for detecting the S/N ratio as the ratio of a target signal to background noise in data on a specific region centering the target signal, of which the signal level is large in digital image signals and which can be a target in comparison with ambient signals, a filter parameter storage 6 for storing a plurality of filter parameters corresponding to a plurality of S/N ratios, and a filter parameter selector 5 for referring to the contents of storage in the filter parameter storage 6, selecting a filter parameter corresponding to the S/N ratio detected by the S/N detector 4, and selecting the selected filter parameter as an optimum filter parameter of the image filter. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
