摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a fine mark having high contrast with high positional accuracy by removing ink with a laser beam machining after an opaque ink is applied on a transparent portion on a glass substrate or an indium tin oxide (ITO) film. <P>SOLUTION: A mark forming region on the substrate is made correspond to the ink ejection position of an ink jet head by moving the substrate or the ink jet head (Step S1). The opaque ink is ejected from the ink jet head to apply the opaque ink on the mark forming region (Step S2). Next, the mark forming region (ink-applied region) on the substrate is made correspond to a laser-irradiation region by moving the substrate or the laser head (Step S3). Thus, the substrate is irradiated with a laser beam, the opaque ink is sublimated or spattered and the mark having a preliminarily set shape is formed (Step S4). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p>
