PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus the power supply of a camera and a VTR of which can easily be controlled. SOLUTION: A power supply of a block with a video camera function of a camcorder is activated when an imaging section 4 is turned in a direction of the arrow Q from a state shown in Figure 1 (a) and a CAMERA mark of the imaging section 4 is placed at a position of a mark M of the main body 1, and the camcorder acts like a video camera. A power supply of a block with a VTR function of the camcorder is activated when the imaging section 4 is turned in a direction of the arrow P from the state shown in Figure 1 (a) and a VTR mark of the imaging section 4 is placed at a position of the mark M of the main body 1, and the camcorder acts like a VTR.
