PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect a defect in a photoreceptor surface with high contrast. SOLUTION: Two types of layers with optical specificity, or a surface layer 4 with a glossy surface and a diffusion layer 2, are laminated. The diffusion layer 2 has grid lines 3, and the surface layer 4 has projections 5 as pseudo defects. The use of the same target 8 determines a defective light reception state of both layers, and a correction of a camera light reception position depending on the deflective light reception state permits a camera to image and detect a defect in a photoreceptor surface with high contrast.
