PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize measurement values. SOLUTION: An earth pressure gauge comprises an earth pressure gauge body 10, a holder 12, a frame 14, a membrane 16, and a pressure transmission member 18. The body 10 is provided with a pressure receiving surface 10a on its one end side. The holder 12 supports the earth pressure gauge body. A square window hole 14a is formed on the inner peripheral side of the frame 14, with the rear surface side secured to a front fixing part 12c. The membrane 16 elastically deforms. It deforms when a pressure is applied and restores to original state when the pressure is removed. The pressure transmission member 18 is sealed up in a space 22 positioned in the window hole 14a of the frame 14, and transmits an earth pressure applied through the membrane 16 to the pressure receiving surface 10a.
