PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a valve opening/closing timing controller which is free from an error in actuation of locking, even if shift amount of a spool of a hydraulic pressure control valve varies and dimensions of a sleeve and the spool vary by enhancing oil-discharging performance of a lock oil passage, when relative rotation phase is locked at an intermediate phase at the time of stopping an engine so as to promptly lock the relative rotation phase at the intermediate phase without being influenced by torque variation of a cam. SOLUTION: The valve opening/closing timing controller comprises a second passage 78 provided independently from a first passage 77 and connected to the lock oil passage 66 for supplying/discharging oil to/from the lock oil passage 66, a hydraulic control valve 76 executing such a control as to discharge the oil from either one or both of a delay angle chamber 42, and an advance angle chamber 43 through the first passage 77 as well as discharging the oil in the lock oil passage 66 through the second passage 78 and a choke valve (restricting means) 760. The choke valve 760 is constituted integrally with the valve 76 for restricting an oil flow supplied to the passage 66 through the passage 78 when the oil is supplied to at least either the chamber 42 or the chamber 43.
