PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a convergence determination method without spending a time by a wasteful computation in a repeated computation of a numerical fluid computation. SOLUTION: When a residual of a repeated computation in a numerical fluid computation is less than a reference value Z but vibrates without reaching a convergence determination reference value X, this numerical fluid computation method detects an inversion of a direction of a residual gradient obtained by subtracting the last-time residual from this-time residual, detects the residual being in a oscillating state, and counts the oscillation frequency. When the oscillation frequency reaches a prescribed value the computation is finished by regarding the obtained value as a substantially evaluative one. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
