<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nickel member which is not corroded by hydrofluoric acid occurring by an electrolyte and moisture, and has satisfactory adhesive stability as a terminal for a battery. <P>SOLUTION: A composite film layer of an aminated phenol polymer, a trivalent chromium compound and a phosphorous compound is formed on the surface of nickel foil or a nickel board. The coating weight of the aminated phenol is 1 to 200 mg/m<SP>2</SP>, the coating weight of chromium is 0.5 to 50 mg/m<SP>2</SP>, and the coating weight of phosphorous is 0.5 to 5 mg/m<SP>2</SP>.
