PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transparent vinyl resin porous product. SOLUTION: The vinyl resin porous product has a light transmittance of≥50% at a thickness of 1 mm and reduces the porosity by≥1% by heat treatment without the change in mass. The transparent vinyl resin porous product reduces the porosity by≥1% and increases the refractive index by≥0.01 by heat treatment without the change in the resin composition, and can change the porosity, density, and refractive index by heat treatment, and accordingly can be used in applications for recording materials, plastic optical fibers, functional films and the like.
