ELECTROLUMINESCENT ELEMENT AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an EL element having high moistureproof to show stable moistureproof against the change of environmental temperature of humidity, and sealed with a moistureproof film reducible in thickness and weight, and to provide its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: This electroluminescent element is composed by sealing an electroluminescent element body with a moistureproof body of the moistureproof film. The moistureproof film is composed of a transparent multi-layer film having a layer structure wherein thin metal or nonmetal oxide films are respectively arranged directly or through an adhesive layer on both sides of a hygroscopic resin layer, and having a water vapor transmission rate of 0.05 g/m2*24 hr or less and a quantity of water vapor transmission of 0.15 g/m2or less.
