PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To emphasize overshoot which occurs when the energizing direction of recording current for energizing a magnetic head is reversed in a magnetic disk drive. SOLUTION: The magnetic disk drive is provided with: differential pulse generators 21 and 22 which differentiate recording signals DT1 and DT2 to respectively generate differential pulse signals DT1A and DT2A; and transistors M5 and M6 which are provided parallelly in a resistor R1 and respectively conducted by receiving the differential pulse signals DT1A and DT2A. When the recording signals DT1 and DT2 are given and the energizing direction of the recording current IL is reversed, either the differential pulse signal DT1A or DT2A is generated and either the transistor M5 or M6 is temporally conducted.
