The folding bicycle has a backrest (7) fixed to a base on which a seat (3) is hinged and a frame (11) supporting a steering assembly (8). The bicycle can be folded flat by pressure on the steering assembly into the plane of the backrest using levers (2) which also lock the bicycle. The frame supports the pedal assembly and driven wheels. The steering assembly has a steering handlebar and wheels.
