A hand-operated pruner for trimming vegetation includes a main body having a cutting member and cutting blade mounted at a forward end thereof a nd a finger grip lever pivotably mounted at a rearward end. A linkage structure extends through a cavity in the main body and operatively interconnects the lever wi th at least one of the cutting member and the blade.
