<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor light emitting device arranged to emit light in a plurality of directions through a simple arrangement. <P>SOLUTION: The semiconductor light emitting device 10 comprises a chip substrate 11 composed of a translucent material, a light emitting chip 12 mounted on one surface of the chip substrate, a first resin molding part 13 formed of transparent resin mixed with phosphor to surround the light emitting chip on one surface of the chip substrate, and a second resin molding part 14 formed of transparent resin on the other surface of the chip substrate. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
