<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an impact-resistant film for a flat display panel, which can be made light and thin and prevents fracture and scattering when the panel experiences an impact. <P>SOLUTION: The impact-resistant film 10 for the flat display panel, which is bonded with a front glass of a flat display panel body, comprises: a first layer at the front glass side of the flat display panel, which has a shear elastic modulus of 1×10<SP>6</SP>to 3×10<SP>7</SP>Pa and is made of transparent synthetic resin in thickness of 2.0 to 7.0 mm; and a second layer 14 at the observation side of the first layer, which has a shear elastic modulus of 1×10<SP>6</SP>to 2×10<SP>8</SP>Pa and made of transparent synthetic resin in thickness of 0.05 to 3.0 mm, larger than the first layer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
