<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a swash plate compressor, in which face pressure acting on the contact part between a piston end and a sleeve end when a piston is inclined by deformation of the sleeve fit to a cylinder bore, and waste in working of the cylinder bore is eliminated. <P>SOLUTION: The compressor is equipped with a cylinder block having a plurality of cylinder bores, sleeves to be fit to the cylinder bores, pistons inserted slidably in the sleeves for reciprocation, a front housing placed on one end face of the cylinder block to form a crank chamber, a cylinder head placed on the other end face of the cylinder blocks through an inlet valves, a valve plate, and a discharge valve to form an inlet chamber and a discharge chamber, a drive shaft extending in the crank chamber to be supported rotatably by the front housing and the cylinder block, a swash plate connected to the drive shaft to rotate synchronously with the drive shaft, and a power transmission mechanism in which the rotation of the swash plate is transduced to a reciprocal movement to be transmitted to the piston, and the end part on the side of the front housing of the sleeve goes beyond the end on the side of the front housing of the cylinder bore to protrude into the crank chamber. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
