PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk player, by which a playback signal exactly following a signal instructing the playback is obtained. SOLUTION: This player is furnished with a read means for reading recording data recorded on the optical disk, a storage means for temporarily storing the recorded data read by the read means along with data of the recorded position showing the recorded position of the recorded data on the optical disk, an input means of playback instructing signal for producing and inputting the playback positional information which shows the position to be played back on the basis of the a signal showing the read direction of the recorded data stored in the storage means, the read speed and the read starting position, and a control means for respectively controlling the above read means, the storage means and the input means of playback instructing signal. Then, by the control means, the playback positional information of the recorded data to be actually played back on the basis of the updated information of the playback signal is computed, and the playback position is corrected on the basis of a deviation signal between the computed result and the playback positional information for showing the position to be played back.
