PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly durable and long-life safety valve, which discharges an alloy with a low melting point speedily at the time of the safety operation and opens a gas release pathway quickly. SOLUTION: The gas release pathway 13 is sealed with the low melting point alloy 32 in the solid state via an actuator 33, and is opened when the low melting point alloy 32 melts. The low melting point alloy 32 is stored in an alloy storage chamber 30, where an alloy drain pathway 31 is formed for draining the melted low melting point alloy 32 out to the outside. The area of the opening of the alloy drain pathway 31 on the alloy storage chamber 30 side is narrower than that on the downstream side of the draining. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
