PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmission belt which suppresses the occurrence of belt slip and keeps the effect continuously for a long time even if water enters an engine room while a vehicle runs in the rain. SOLUTION: A V ribbed belt 1 is constituted in such a way that a compressed rubber layer 4 provided with ribs adjacent to a bonded rubber layer 2 in which a core wire 3 is buried along the longitudinal direction of the belt is arranged and fiber materials 5 are laminated on a rear surface of the belt. The compressed rubber layer 4 is composed of a laminated structure having three layers 6, 7, 8. The rubber layer 7 is made of rubber component in which silica of 5 to 40 mass parts is blended in rubber of 100 mass parts, and the rubber layer 7 is exposed on a rib side face 9. Moreover, the rubber layer 6 exposed on a rib crest face 10 and the rubber layer 8 adjacent to a bonded layer are made of rubber component in which silica is not blended. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
