PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device manufacturing method enabling the formation of functioning layers at the same thickness, and a display device having the same-thickness functioning layers and improved display quality. SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing the display device having the plurality of functioning layers formed between a pair of electrodes comprises forming at least one of the plurality of functioning layers by discharging droplets from a plurality of nozzles n1a, n2bformed in a droplet discharge head and applying the droplets discharged from the different nozzles to a region corresponding to one electrode by scanning the droplet discharge head.
