PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric connector by which coming-off of is more surely prevented so as not to allow coming-off of a contact from a socket body or breakage of an electrical connector even when a power cord is forcibly pulled. SOLUTION: For the electric connector 10 obtained by inserting contacts 6, 6 into pin inserting holes 5U, 5L at a head 2a of a socket body 2 inserted into a hole 3a for socket of a plug body 3, providing locking holes 6d, 6d in a bottom of each of the contacts, providing locking claws 5Ub, 5Lb for locking with the locking holes and further providing locking means X for locking intermediate side portions 6c, 6c of the contacts at upper portions of contact- receiving portions, the electrical connector 10 is constructed by providing locking claws 6g, 6g outward bent at the intermediate side portions 6c, 6c of each of the contacts in the locking means X and providing a locking hole 6H and/or a locking portion 6i for locking with the locking claw at the upper portion of the contact-receiving portion.
