摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a visual inspection device that can reduce cost, simplify device structure and shorten an inspection cycle time. SOLUTION: For detecting a defect in surfaces of workpieces 151 to 153 as long parts, the visual inspection device comprises a line sensor camera 100 for imaging the workpieces 151 to 153 sequentially, an illumination part 110 made of a bar array of, for example, LEDs to illuminate the workpieces 151 to 153 evenly in an imaging region 120, a first rotary roller 130 and a second rotary roller 140 for rotating the workpieces 151 to 153, a first extrusion roller 180 and a second extrusion roller 190 for extruding the workpieces 151 to 153 continuously at a substantially constant speed in a rotation axis direction, and an image processing part 170 for processing data on the image picked up by the line sensor camera 100 to detect an inclination of the image and detect a defect in workpiece sides according to the detected inclination.
